Understanding Your Estimated Delivery Date

When you purchase an item on Kifgo, we provide an Estimated Delivery Date to give you a good idea of when your package will arrive. However, because you are purchasing from independent sellers who use various shipping carriers, this date is an estimate—not a strict guarantee.

Here is everything you need to know about how your delivery date is calculated.

How is the Estimated Delivery Date Calculated?

Your estimated delivery date is a simple math equation: Processing Time + Transit Time = Estimated Delivery Date.

  • Processing Time: This is the time the seller needs to prepare your order. If you buy a vintage jacket, the processing time might just be 1 day to put it in a box. But if you order a custom hand-carved wooden table, the processing time could be 2 weeks!

  • Transit Time: This is the time it takes the shipping carrier (like the post office or FedEx) to physically move the package from the seller's town to your front door.

Why Might My Delivery Date Change?

Estimated delivery dates are automatically calculated based on business days, which means weekends and national holidays are usually not included. Your delivery might also take a little longer than estimated due to:

  • Severe weather conditions blocking shipping routes.

  • High package volumes during busy holiday seasons.

  • Customs delays (if you purchased an item from an international seller).

What if my Estimated Delivery Date has passed?

If the latest date in your estimated delivery window has come and gone, don't panic!

  1. Check the Tracking: Go to your "Purchases and Reviews" page and click on the tracking number. Often, a package is just delayed at a local sorting facility.

  2. Message the Seller: If there is no tracking information, or if the tracking hasn't updated in several days, click the "Help with Order" button to contact the seller. They can usually check with their local post office to see what is causing the delay!
