Why Can't I Find a Specific Shop in Search?
Did a friend recommend a Kifgo shop to you, or did you see a great seller on social media, but when you type their name into the Kifgo search bar, nothing shows up?
If you are having trouble locating a specific shop in our search results, check the common reasons below:
1. There are spaces in your search
Kifgo shop names are formatted as one continuous word without any spaces or punctuation. If you are searching for a shop called "Jane Smith Art," you need to type JaneSmithArt into the search bar. If you add spaces, the search engine will look for items titled "Jane," "Smith," and "Art" instead of looking for the shop!
2. The shop is on "Vacation Mode"
Sellers on Kifgo are independent business owners. If a seller needs to take a break, catch up on a backlog of orders, or go on a real vacation, they can put their shop into "Vacation Mode." When a shop is on vacation, their items will not appear in the general search results.
3. The shop changed its name or closed
Sellers occasionally rebrand their businesses and change their Kifgo shop name. If they did, their old name will no longer appear in search. Alternatively, the seller may have permanently closed their shop.
4. The shop is brand new
If a seller just opened their Kifgo shop today, it can take a few days for our search engine to properly "index" their shop and start displaying it in the search results.
The Best Way to Find a Shop Directly
If the search bar isn't working, the most foolproof way to find a shop is to type their exact web address directly into the URL bar at the top of your internet browser (where you type www.google.com).
Simply type: kifgo.lk/shop/ShopName (replacing "ShopName" with the exact name of the seller). If the shop exists, this link will take you straight to their homepage!
