How to Request a Personalized or Custom Item from a Seller

One of the best things about shopping on Kifgo is the ability to communicate directly with the artists and small business owners who make the products! Because many items are made-to-order, it is very easy to request personalizations (like an engraved name) or entirely custom-made items.

Here is how you can request customizations on Kifgo:

Method 1: Personalizing an Existing Listing

Many sellers already offer personalizations on their standard products.

1. Go to the listing page for the item you want.

2. Look just below the size or color drop-down menus. If the seller offers customization, you will see a text box labeled "Add your personalization."

3. The seller will provide instructions above the box (for example, "Please enter the name and birthdate you want engraved, max 20 characters").

4. Type your request into the box and click "Add to Cart."

Method 2: Requesting a Completely Custom Item

If you want something entirely unique that the seller doesn't currently offer in their shop (like a custom painting of your dog, or a dress made to your exact measurements), you can request a Custom Order!

1. Go to the seller's main Shop Homepage.

2. Look for a button on the left sidebar that says "Request Custom Order." (If you don't see this button, simply click "Contact Shop Owner" instead).

3. Send a message to the seller explaining exactly what you are looking for. Be as detailed as possible about colors, sizes, materials, and your required deadline.

4. The seller will reply to let you know if they can accommodate your request and how much it will cost.

How do I pay for a Custom Order?

Once you and the seller agree on the details and the price, the seller will create a Private Custom Listing just for you. They will send you a link to this private listing in your Kifgo messages, and you can add it to your cart and check out normally!

Important Note: Because custom items are made specifically for you, they usually take longer to create (longer processing times) and are often strictly non-refundable. Always check the seller's policies before buying!
